Edge banding matched to your board
Matched or contrast edging applied, trimmed, cleaned and buffed.
What this is
Edging is what people notice first, so it is worth doing properly. We run laser edging for a joint you cannot see and glue-line edging where that is the sensible choice, in tapes matched to your board or deliberately contrasted.
- Laser edging — No glue line at all — the edge reads as one piece with the board.
- Thick lipping — Up to 3mm ABS or solid timber where an edge takes knocks.
- Radius options — Square, small radius or bull-nosed, to suit the job.
- Cleaned — Scraped, buffed and wiped, not sent out with glue on the face.

How edge banding runs here
Matched or contrast edging applied, trimmed, cleaned and buffed. Panels come off the saw and go straight onto the edgebander, trimmed and buffed in the same pass.

- 0.4mm to 3mm
- Materials
- ABS, PVC, veneer, solid timber lipping
- Colour matching
- Matched to your board or a supplied sample
Why this matters
Why people use us for edge banding
What you actually get out of putting edge banding through us, rather than a price list.
- 01
A glue line you cannot feel
Machine-applied tape is trimmed, scraped and buffed, so the edge reads as part of the panel.
- 02
Matched or deliberately contrasting
We hold common decors and can source an unusual one, or band in a contrast if that is the design.
- 03
It stays put
Properly bonded edges do not lift in a warm kitchen or a steamy bathroom the way an iron-on strip does.
- 04
Same day as the cutting
Sheets are cut and edged in one pass through the shop, so the run does not sit waiting on a second supplier.
How it goes
Cut, edged, cleaned up
Panels come off the saw and go straight onto the edgebander, trimmed and buffed in the same pass.

How it fits our process
One programme, start to finish
Where edge banding sits in the run, and what happens either side of it in the same building.
- Stage 1
Drawings and pricing
You send a DXF, a model or a sketch. We redraw if needed and price it in writing.
- Stage 2
Board cut to size
Sheets cut on the beam saw, nested for yield.
- Stage 3
Machined and drilled
Routed, drilled and grooved on the 5-axis and vertical CNC machines.
- Stage 4
Edged, veneered, assembled
Tape applied and pressed work bonded before the bench builds it.
You are here - Stage 5
Sprayed and delivered
Finished in our booths, checked, wrapped and brought to site on our vans.
Questions we are asked
Can you match an unusual board?
Send an offcut. We source the closest tape and send a sample edge before the run.
Do you edge before or after drilling?
Edge first, then drill, so the tape is never cut into by a bore.
What edging thicknesses do you apply?
0.4mm up to 2mm ABS, plus veneer edging on veneered board. Thicker edges take a radius, which is worth having on a busy kitchen.
Can you edge parts I have cut myself?
Yes, as long as they are square and clean. We check a few before running the batch and tell you if anything will not band well.

Tell us what you need
Send drawings, sizes or photographs and we will price it in writing, usually within two working days. If it is quicker to talk it through, call 020 8944 2817 and you will get someone who knows the machines.
What we need, what you get
Send sizes, materials and the finish you want — drawings in any form, or photos and a few measurements. Back you get a fixed written price, a date we hold to, and the work delivered to site on our own vans from our workshop in Croydon.
Machining, finishing and assembly all happen in the same building, so nothing waits on another supplier and nothing gets damaged being moved between them.
