Veneer laid up and pressed onto board
Leaves stitched, laid up and pressed onto board, flat and matched.
What this is
We stitch veneer leaves into sheets, lay them up and press them onto your chosen substrate. Both faces are balanced so the panel stays flat, and the match is set out on the bench before anything goes near the press.
- Matching set out — Book, slip or quarter match, laid out and photographed for approval.
- Balanced panels — A backing veneer every time, so the sheet does not bow.
- Sequence kept — Panels numbered so a run of doors reads across the wall.
- Pressed properly — Heat and pressure held to the glue spec, not rushed.

Why this matters
Why people use us for veneer bonding & stitching
What you actually get out of putting veneer bonding & stitching through us, rather than a price list.
- 01
Grain that runs as drawn
Leaves are stitched and laid up to your setting-out, so a book-match runs across the doors and not past them.
- 02
Flat, and it stays flat
Panels are pressed in our own JOOS press with balancing veneer on the back, so they do not bow later.
- 03
Your veneer or ours
Send your own bundle or let us source oak, walnut, fumed and dyed leaves to your sample.
- 04
Lacquered in the same building
Pressed panels can go straight into the spray shop, so nothing is handled twice or marked in transit.
How it goes
Laid up, pressed, balanced
Leaves are stitched to your setting-out, pressed with heat, and backed so the panel stays flat.

Questions we are asked
Can I send my own veneer?
Yes. We check the leaves for splits and tell you how many usable sheets you will get before we start.
Do you finish the panels too?
We can lacquer them in our own booths, which keeps everything under one order.
How big a panel can you press?
Up to 3,050 × 1,530mm in the JOOS press. Larger faces are set out as joined panels with the joint placed where it is least seen.
Will a veneered panel stay flat?
Yes, provided it is balanced. We press a backing veneer on the reverse as standard, which is what stops a panel curling.

What we need, what you get

Machining, finishing and assembly all happen in the same building, so nothing waits on another supplier and nothing gets damaged being moved between them.
