The machinery
A Makor robotic spray line, two spray hands
Our finishing floor runs a Makor cartesian robotic spray machine with two independent spray arms. It's the difference between a good sprayer having a good day and the same flawless film build on panel one and panel four hundred.

Preparation is most of the price
Filled, sanded and de-nibbed by hand between coats. That is what makes a sprayed finish look flat under a strong light.
The same colour, batch after batch
Colours are mixed and recorded in our own mixing room, with a sprayed sample signed off before we commit your job.
Robotic line and hand booths
Flat panels go through the Makor line for an even film; shaped and site work is sprayed by hand. Same standard either way.

Dead matt
2–5% sheen. Velvet to the touch, forgiving in daylight.
Eggshell
20% sheen. The workhorse for cabinetry and doors.
Satin
40% sheen. Soft reflection, easy to maintain.
High gloss
90%+ sheen. Flatted and polished to a mirror.
Liquid metal
Bronze, brass, copper and pewter cold-cast finishes.
Textured
Suede, sand and hammered effects for feature panels.

Machined first
HOMAG 5-axis CNC feeds the spray line
A finish is only as flat as the panel underneath it. Our HOMAG 5-axis CNC machines profiles, mouldings and curved work to tolerances the lacquer can't hide, so nothing needs filling later.

Got your own doors, panels or furniture? Our self-service spray finishing runs on a separate site, where you send in your own materials and we spray them to your colour and sheen — no joinery, no supply, just the finish. Pricing and booking are handled over there.

Our own drivers collect doors, fronts or full carcasses locally, blanket-wrapped and racked for transit.

Drop off at the Croydon workshop during counter hours — bring the colour reference and a contact number.

Protected on return
Finished work is denibbed, checked, foam-separated and wrapped so it arrives on site the way it left the booth.

Straight answers
Questions we get asked
Can I send in my own doors or units?
Yes. Most of our spray work is other people's joinery. Deliver it or we can collect within London and the South East, and it comes back primed, sprayed and packed.
How long does spraying take?
Five to ten working days from arrival for most runs, including cure time. Small batches can be quicker. We confirm the return date when the job books in.
Which finishes do you spray?
Dead-flat matt through to mirror gloss, in water-based and two-pack, on timber, MDF, fire-rated board, veneer and previously finished surfaces. We spray uPVC and liquid metal too.
Will the colour match?
We mix in-house and spray a sample board first. Once you sign it off, the recipe is recorded so a repeat order in two years is the same colour.
Robot or by hand?
Volume door and panel runs go on the Makor line for an identical film build every time. One-offs, large assemblies and repairs are hand sprayed in the booths. We pick whichever suits the job and tell you which we used.
Is the finish guaranteed?
Yes. Subject to our terms of sale, correct care and the surface beneath remaining sound, our sprayed finishes carry a five-year guarantee against coating failure such as peeling, cracking and premature yellowing. Impact, abrasion, harsh chemical cleaning and damage by others are not covered.
