Why respray a kitchen
Keep the kitchen that works, change how it looks
Most kitchens are replaced because of how they look, not because the cabinets have failed. If the carcasses, hinges and worktops are sound, kitchen spraying gives you a new colour and a factory-like finish while the kitchen stays in place.
Doors and drawer fronts come to our Croydon workshop and are sprayed in a dust-controlled booth, not painted by brush in your home. That is what gives a smooth, even surface with crisp edges and no brush marks.
We respray painted, lacquered, wood and many vinyl-wrapped or melamine kitchens. If a door is too damaged to take a good finish, we tell you before we start.

Send photos of the kitchen. We check the doors and agree colour and sheen.

Removal and labelling
Doors and fronts come off and are labelled so each goes back in its place.

Preparation
Cleaned, keyed or stripped, dents and chips filled, and edges sealed.

Primer
The right primer for the material goes on first, every time.

Top coat
Two-pack colour sprayed in the booth and left to cure hard.

Refit
Doors hung back, hinges adjusted so the gaps are even, handles refitted.

Eggshell
A low sheen that wipes clean and hides everyday fingermarks.

Flatted and polished to a deep shine. Best on flat, smooth surfaces.
We can match a colour from any paint brand's chart, a sample door, a fabric or a tin you already have. Before the full job is sprayed, you can sign off a sample so there are no surprises.
Common questions
Kitchen spraying questions
- Is kitchen spraying better than painting by hand?
- Spraying in a booth lays an even coat with no brush or roller marks, and the two-pack top coat is much harder than ordinary paint. It is the same type of finish used on new painted kitchens.
- Can you spray a vinyl-wrapped or melamine kitchen?
- Often, yes. Peeling vinyl is removed and the door underneath is sealed. Melamine is cleaned, keyed and given a bonding primer. We check the doors first and tell you honestly if they are worth spraying.
- Can I still use my kitchen?
- Yes. The cabinets, worktops and appliances stay in place. Only the doors and fronts leave, so the kitchen still works while they are with us.
- Do you spray the cabinets in my home?
- Doors and fronts are always sprayed in our booth, because a lived-in room is never clean enough for a flat, dust-free finish. Fixed parts that cannot come out are discussed with you case by case.
- Can you change the handles at the same time?
- Yes. Tell us the new handles before we start, so any old holes can be filled and new ones drilled before spraying.
- Can you spray paint gloss kitchen cabinets?
- Yes. Gloss doors are cleaned and keyed so the primer can grip, then sprayed in the sheen you choose — matt, eggshell, satin or gloss.
- How do I look after spray-painted kitchen cupboard doors?
- Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild washing-up liquid. Avoid scourers, bleach and strong solvent cleaners.
