Why spray doors
Doors are handled every day, so the finish has to last
Wardrobe and internal doors take more knocks and fingermarks than almost anything else in a home. A sprayed, two-pack finish is smooth, even and much tougher than brush-applied paint.
We spray fitted wardrobe doors you already have, new doors before they are hung, and whole house sets for developers and fitters. Everything is sprayed in our Croydon booths, faces and edges, so nothing is left bare to take in moisture.
Mirrored, glazed or panelled doors are masked and finished by hand where the spray cannot reach cleanly.

We look at your photos or doors and agree colour and sheen.

Hinges, handles and locks removed and kept with each door.

Preparation
Cleaned, keyed, filled and sanded; old flaking paint taken back.

Primer
A primer to suit the material — never top coat straight onto bare board.

Top coat
Colour sprayed on faces and edges, then cured hard in the booth.

Doors wrapped and returned ready to hang, or refitted where agreed.

Dead matt
Soft and chalky to look at, popular on deep colours and period homes.
Eggshell
A low sheen that wipes clean and hides everyday fingermarks.
Satin
A gentle reflection that lifts a darker room without showing every mark.
Gloss
Flatted and polished to a deep shine. Best on flat, smooth surfaces.
We can match a colour from any paint brand's chart, a sample door, a fabric or a tin you already have. Before the full job is sprayed, you can sign off a sample so there are no surprises.
Common questions
Wardrobe and door spraying questions
- Can you spray wardrobe doors that are already fitted?
- Yes. The doors are taken off, sprayed in our booth and refitted. Frames and fixed panels that cannot come out are discussed with you first.
- Can you spray sliding wardrobe doors?
- Yes, as long as the panels can be taken out of their frames or the frames can be masked. We check this from your photos.
- Do you spray new doors before they are hung?
- Yes. Spraying doors before hanging gives the best finish and saves painting on site. Send the door type and sizes.
- Do you spray both sides of a door?
- Yes. Both faces and all edges are sealed and sprayed, so the door stays stable and looks finished whichever way it opens.
- Can you match the colour of my walls or other joinery?
- Yes. Give us the paint name, or a sample, and we match it.
