uPVC and window spraying
uPVC spraying and window spraying — a new colour without new windows
uPVC windows, frames, front doors and conservatories sprayed at your property in the colour you choose, with the glass, brick and sills fully masked.
Why spray uPVC
Sound windows only need a new colour
Most white uPVC windows are replaced because they have yellowed or no longer suit the house, not because they have stopped working. If the frames, seals and glass are sound, spraying gives them a new colour for far less upheaval than new windows.
uPVC windows are fixed into the building, so this work is done at your property, not in our workshop. Glass, brickwork, sills and seals are masked before anything is sprayed.
uPVC needs the right preparation and a coating made to bond to plastic. Ordinary paint brushed on will peel, which is why preparation is most of the job.

How it is done

Photos and colour
Send photos of the windows. We check them and agree colour and sheen.
- 02
Clean
Frames washed and degreased so nothing sits under the coating.
- 03
Key
The surface is lightly abraded so the coating can grip the plastic.
- 04
Mask
Glass, seals, brick, sills and the area around protected.
- 05
Spray
A coating made for uPVC sprayed in thin, even coats.
- 06
Unmask and check

Finish and colour
Colour and sheen
Matt
A soft, modern look, popular in greys and black.
Satin
A gentle sheen, close to the look of new coloured windows.
Gloss
A brighter finish, often chosen for front doors.
We can match a RAL colour, a paint brand's colour or another part of your house, such as the front door or the gutters.
Common questions
uPVC spraying questions
- Can uPVC windows really be painted?
- Yes, when they are cleaned, keyed and sprayed with a coating made for uPVC. Paint brushed straight onto smooth plastic tends to peel, which is why the preparation matters.
- Do my windows need to come out?
- No. uPVC windows are sprayed where they are, at your property. The glass and everything around the frames are masked first.
- Can you spray the inside and the outside a different colour?
- Yes. Many people choose a darker colour outside and white or a lighter colour inside.
- Can you spray a uPVC or composite front door?
- Yes. The door panel and frame are sprayed in place, with the handle, letterbox and glass masked or removed.
- Are there windows you can't spray?
- Frames that are cracked, badly warped or have failed seals are not worth spraying. We check from your photos and tell you honestly.
